家系のルーツ：不動明王と忍びと儒教の教え
第一章：寺子屋に響く算盤の音
私の家系の歴史は、学問と共に歩んできました。
江戸時代、代々続く寺子屋では、読み書きそろばんだけでなく、儒教の教えも伝えていました。
寺子屋の名前にも儒教の影響が色濃く残り、地元の古文書にも記録が残っています。
教育は単なる知識の伝達ではなく、人格形成と徳の涵養が重視されていました。
第二章：武田の影と学問の道
伝承によれば、武田信玄の家臣の、そのまた家臣筋にあたる人物が祖先にいるとされています。
戦の知略だけでなく、学問と教養の重視も家系の誇りでした。
第三章：伊賀の地名と忍びの影
珍しい姓を持つ私たちの家系は、伊賀市の地名と同じ名前を持っています。
伊賀は忍者の里として知られており、忍びの知恵と機略は家系の精神性の一部かもしれません。
第四章：不動明王と稲荷の信仰
家系は不動明王を崇拝し、修験道や山伏の信仰とも深く結びついています。
修験の山中修行や稲荷信仰との繋がりも伝承に残っています。
第五章：現代に息づく教え
時代が変わっても、家系の血は静かに流れ続けています。
博識で教えることを使命と感じる兄弟、語学や歴史を伝える私。
儒教の徳と忍びの知恵が融合した家系の誇りを胸に、今日も未来へとバトンを渡しています。
The Roots of My Family: Fudo Myo-o, Shinobi, and Confucian Teachings
Chapter 1: The Sound of the Abacus at the Terakoya
The history of my family is deeply connected to learning.
During the Edo period, our family ran a terakoya (temple school) for generations, teaching not only reading, writing, and arithmetic but also Confucian teachings.
The name of the terakoya itself reflects strong Confucian influences, and records remain in local historical documents.
Education was not just about imparting knowledge but also about shaping character and cultivating virtue.
Chapter 2: The Shadow of Takeda and the Path of Learning
According to tradition, an ancestor belonged to the retinue of a vassal under Takeda Shingen.
The family took pride not only in military strategy but also in scholarship and culture.
Chapter 3: The Iga Place Name and the Shadow of Shinobi
Our family name is rare and shares its name with a place in Iga City.
Iga is famous as the home of the ninja, and the wisdom and strategy of the shinobi may be part of our family’s spirit.
Chapter 4: The Faith in Fudo Myo-o and Inari
Our family venerates Fudo Myo-o, deeply connected with Shugendo and Yamabushi faiths.
There are also traditions linking us to mountain ascetic practices and Inari worship.
Chapter 5: Teachings Alive in the Modern Era
Though times have changed, the blood of our family quietly flows on.
With brothers who feel teaching is their mission and myself passing on language and history,
we carry the pride of a family blending Confucian virtue with shinobi wisdom, handing the baton to the future every day.
ちょっと余談：言葉と縁の話
ちなみに、私の女いとこたちはそれぞれアメリカ人と結婚し、自然に英語を話しています。
私は努力して英語を身につけましたが、何度も「私もアメリカ人と結婚すべきだったのかな？」と考えます。
でも、結局大事なのは自分のペースで、自分らしく生きること。
言葉や国籍を超えた繋がりこそ、人生の宝物だと思っています。
A Little Aside: Words and Connections
By the way, my female cousins each married Americans and naturally speak English.
I worked hard to learn English myself, but I often wonder, “Should I have married an American too?”
But in the end, what matters most is living at your own pace and being yourself.
Connections beyond language and nationality are the true treasures in life.
指名された教えの道
家系の学問の伝統や教えるDNA、さらには自分の努力と経験が重なって、
日本語を教えることが自然と「指名」された道に感じられます。
これは単なる仕事ではなく、魂レベルでの役割。
だからこそ情熱も湧くし、教えることに特別な意味を見出せるのだと思います。
A Chosen Path of Teaching
The family tradition of scholarship and the DNA of teaching, combined with my own efforts and experiences,
make teaching Japanese feel like a path I was naturally “chosen” for.
It’s not just a job, but a role at the soul level.
That’s why I feel passion and find special meaning in teaching.
